The public officials who had received education at the Anti-Corruption Training Institute (ACTI) of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission showed higher levels of integrity compared to those who did not.

ACTI measured the effect of education by surveying the public officials who attended its integrity training courses last year. According to the survey findings, the integrity levels of the officials who completed integrity education showed an average of 85.0 points out of 100, much higher than the average of 77.6 points of those who did not. The effectiveness of education also showed overall good results, recording 87.0 points.

In particular, the effectiveness of education of the training courses customized to each organization, which were attended by high-ranking officials of the organization, was relatively higher (93.6 points) than that of the courses for individuals, such as the "Integrity Policy Expert Course (81.4 points)" or "Train-the-trainers Course (87.0 points)." This shows that integrity education is more effective when it is for an organization rather than individuals.

The effect of education was measured by surveying 811 of 7,158 trainees who attended the training courses at the ACTI in 2014, 3-6 months after they completed their course.

The public officials who participated in the education of ACTI are highly appreciating its programs. According to them, while integrity education in the past was too formal and lecture-based, ACTI's education programs are much easier to understand and interesting with their new formats and delivery methods such as the Integrity Concert and Integrity Play, which are created based on various cases that public officials often face in performing their duties.

An official of ACTI said, "We will devote ourselves to spreading a culture of integrity in society by developing and operating more creative and effective education programs that can have a positive influence on the levels of integrity of public officials."
