ACRC Chairman Lee Sungbo met with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev in Seoul on November 20 to discuss ways for Korea and Kyrgyz to reinforce cooperation and share experiences in the anti-corruption field.
President Atambayev said that anti-corruption is a critical political agenda that requires practical countermeasures and that "Kyrgyz could learn a lot from Korea's experience."

After appreciating the Kyrgyz President's interest in Korea's strategy and efforts to fight corruption, Chairman Lee proposed that Kyrgyz officials participate in the ACRC's Training Course for International Anti-Corruption Practitioners that was launched in June to help build anti-corruption capacity of public officials around the world. President Atambayev expressed his hope that Kyrgyz officials would attend the ACRC's training program next year.

The ACRC Chairman and the Kyrgyz President agreed to make more active exchanges in the anti-corruption area between the two countries in the future and to have working-level discussions to follow up the issues regarding the anti-corruption training.
