"2011 University Integrity Promotion Club" Performance Briefing was held
at the Anti-Corruption Training Center on December 1.

The Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission held an event where members of the University Student Club for Integrity Promotion reported on their activities, and the outstanding performers were presented with the awards. The event took place at the Anti-Corruption Training Center on December 1.

The University Student Club for Integrity Promotion was formed three years ago and is divided into regional groups, each consisting of 4~6 students. The young people have come up with creative new ideas to raise public awareness about the need for integrity and relevant practical initiatives for university society and local communities.

A total of 19 teams presented the activities they carried out for the last six months. Six among them received awards in recognition of their outstanding performance.

The 1st Place Award went to the "Blue Fly" team, representing the Incheon-Gyeonggi region. They visited sport events and beaches to spread their public service message about integrity. They also created posters and dances to raise public awareness about the importance of integrity in easy and interesting ways.

"Paper Airplane" and "Aviation Sketch," both from North Gyeongsang Province, received the 2nd Place Awards. The former conducted the "No Cheating in Exams" campaign at their university, while the latter created stickers with information on the Act on the Protection of Public Interest Whistleblowers and attached them at coffee shops frequented by young people.

Three teams from South and North Jeolla Provinces, including the "Stethoscope" team, all received 3rd Place Awards. The Stethoscope team distributed leaflets on integrity around railway stations and created video clips targeting children on the significance of having integrity.

Activities of the remaining 13 teams include organizing a play with an "integrity" theme, giving lectures on ethics, carrying out volunteer service activities, conducting campaigns in partnership with local civic and public organizations, and running blogs on integrity.
